CRANBERRY BARS

½ c. soft butter
1 c. flour
¼ c. sugar

Mix until crumbly, spread or pat on bottom of 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

1/3 c. flour
½ c. chopped nuts
½ tsp. salt
2 cups raw cranberries (chop while frozen)
½ tsp. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix above ingredients together. Spread over first layer. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut in small squares when cool.

Notes:
If using frozen cranberries, chop in food processor while still frozen

For a 3-Qt oblong Pyrex Baking Dish:

½ c. + 2 tbs. soft butter
1 ¼ c. flour
¼ + 1 tbs. c. sugar

Mix until crumbly, spread or pat on bottom of 3-Qt oblong baking dish. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

½ c. less 1 tbs. flour
½ c. + 2 tbs. chopped nuts
½ rounded tsp. salt
2 ½ cups raw cranberries (chop while frozen)
½ rounded tsp. baking powder
1 ¼ c. brown sugar
1 ¼ tsp. vanilla

Mix above ingredients together. Spread over first layer. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut in small squares when cool.
